Teleigha Peavy, CEO
Obtained her under studies and education at Albany Technical College and Darton College in Albany, GA major in Accounting and Business Management in 2005 to 2009. She also received her certification as an Office Accounting Specialist in 2008. In 2010, she transferred to DeVry University to major in Business and Technical Management with a minor in Project Management. She received her Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt) in December 2013. From 2007 to current, she has worked in the government, public accounting, consulting, IT, general contracting, healthcare, non-profit, and the real estate industry performing accounting, management support, and billing services. In 2009, Peavy Bookkeeping & Consulting Services was formed. In 2011,the name was changed to Peavy & Associates’ Business Services, Inc. Since then, Teleigha has been providing software training services to employees for using accounting systems effectively with other integrated systems. She also provides business development and consulting services. Teleigha has also provided business solutions to entrepreneurs to help improve their business operations and processes using Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. In September 2013, she became a Certified Scrum Master. Teleigha was also on the Business Advisory Committee for Dougherty Comprehensive High School and the Business Management program for Darton College until she moved away to north metro Atlanta, GA in 2016.
What is she currently up to? – She helps small business owners with business development, business tax preparation, and consulting services as well. To her, there is no such thing as too much learning. She’s always taking continuing education classes in operations management and financial management. Yes, accounting is her specialty, but she love doing business consulting, coaching and business process improvement as well. She built this business based off her former work experience with other companies. She is currently enrolled into Harvard Business School Online to receive her certification in Business Analytics.
