I’ve helped many clients start their businesses and develop plans for their businesses. These are just the starting point when establishing a business. My question is, ” What is your next move? We can develop road maps, plans of actions, and give you encouragement, but ultimately you have to take the steps and necessary actions to get out there and going. It takes hard work, determination, faith, and will power to step outside the box away from a 9 -5 into your own.

Sometimes we are granted a foresight of the path we suppose to be on for ourselves, but often times we become so worried about paying bills and being complacent with our 9-5 (not guaranteed, nothing is these days) that we won’t step out on faith and take risks. Our fear turns our won’t into can’t , impounding us with doubts that will take control over our lives if we let it.

No, I’m not the one who sells you pipe dreams and probably won’t agree with you all the time. However, the information and advice I give you is to help you and not harm you. Why Processes and Systematic Approach to Your Operations Are Helpful?

You are all over the place, disorganized. You just want to get customers and work, this is the most cases for entrepreneurs and executives. You worry about the financing and operating activities, monetary, of the business, but not the actual operations of the business. You need to figure out how to provide new services to your customers,so you make up a team and leave them without direction to focus on attracting your customers, big mistake. When you finally check on your departments performance, you are not understanding the lag in time it takes to complete a task, yet you are too busy to address the issue. So what are the result now?

  • Key tasks are missed which probably could have helped gain a client or attain the revenue
  • Other tasks are yet to performed because the first was yet to be completed because of no guidance
  • The team you created are left in the wind without direction, scope, idea, and budget so your are over your limits (spending) and the project is not executed properly

Oh I can go on and on to the many problems that can happen without your insight and input as the leader. Processes and systems are beneficial to any business, small or large, because it helps solves many problems and enables an efficient workflow. As the Key Executive, you are the leader. Your team are looking for your guidance and vision of the company. When you are absent, many things can go wrong.

Standard Operating Procedures, Processes, and systems are implement under the company’s vision. These plans are put in place to give the company a sense of direction and how to proceed with work. If you implement a process in each department, tasks will be completed on time and new tasks can be performed. If you define the scope of the project with your team, take time to listen to all input, and develop a plan of action, from it; your team can then hit the floor executing the project.

Now with all this being said, this really means as the leader, lead, motivate, guide and you can go the rest of the day completing your very own tasks, because you have implemented processes and a plan of action!
